Plural History
Quick'n'Dirty Plural History: comes in condensed, subtitled, hour-long video form, but we recommend the textual version:
Soulbonding (the term): Where the idea came from.
Soulbonding (the Livejournal community): For folks who had relationships with fictional characters.
the Soulbond Code: Based off the multiple code, but for soulbonders.
the Multiple Code: A goofy little old-school meme thing for multiples to give a lot of info about their systems very quickly.
Quick'n'Dirty History of "System" as Plural Slang
The History of "Singlet": Where the word for non-plurals came from.
The Creation of the Term "Endogenic": Where the word for plurals who see themselves as created by forces unrelated to trauma came from. Long story short, it was made to try and avoid any and all previously existing terminology to avoid accusations of "appropriation," which failed.
Pavilion Hall and the Creation of the Term "Median" The history of a plural "activist" group that did very little except create the word "median."
Memory Work Intro and Prep
Plural Relationships (Good and Bad)
A Cure for Plural Piss-fight Poisoning: “She was so afraid, so certain that she was a terrible, sick person. When it all came out, though, there was not that much to it, nothing to match those years of knotted-up silent grief. It’s usually like that, you know. We’re rarely as terrible as we believe ourselves to be.” –Dorothy Allison, “Public Silence, Private Terror”
Sex With Noncorporeal Beings: A Pleasure Pie Sex Salon Talk: "By placing it into the hands of physicians, spirit sex is relegated to the status of a disease that must be cured. […] by regarding sex with spirits as a psychological disorder of the mind, it can be dismissed as a mere fantasy or illusion, probably induced by some childhood trauma, that has no value to or significance in the so-called real world. The view is that once a person who is under the ‘illusion’ that he or she is having sex with a spirit has been successfully counseled, the aberrant notion will simply fade away like a forgotten dream.” (Tyson, 25)
Queer Pride, Kinky Joy: Our experience at our first kinky play party. NSFW.
I ♥ My √x, x<0 Friend: an essay about in-system relationships, and why they freak people out.
Sex-Y'all-Ity: Headmate sex, covering topics like: STIs, birth control, consent, shame, privacy, thoughtleak, erotic art, and dream sex.
Your Princess is in Another Headspace: the pitfalls of plurals seeking bookend headmates in other plurals--for example, the Princess Peach to their Mario. Also see: Body-Hopping Headmates
Cultiples: The Series: A three-volume, three-year project that got me a bunch of harassment, covering cult dynamics in plural circles (mainly fictionkin, soulbonding, and paganism/chaos magic). Each volume covers one perpetrator:
Multi-Specific Abuse
Plural Miscellaneous
Plural Stories: Why We Did It Like That: "Librarians are the secret masters of the universe. They control information. Never piss one off." --Spider Robinson
Soul Composting: an essay about memory work, our ghosts, and how they're important parts of our happiness and joy.
Trauma in Multi Identity: I write about traumagenic identity in plurals, and how I think it’s misguided.
How to Write Multi: One of our singlet friends wanted advice on writing multiplicity in her fiction, so here's some pointers! (Note: if you want more thorough advice, or a sensitivity reader, you have to pay us for that.)
The Unbearable Whiteness of Being: "Like hysteria before it, multiple personality disorder remained primarily a white woman's affliction--and one particularly American." --Kevin Young
Atheists in Foxholes: “It is not external entities who are watching us and haunting us; we haunt ourselves.” --Chögyam Trungpa, Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism, pg. 46.

We're a Cyborg, and So Am I: "When I tell people I am a cyborg, they often ask if I have read Donna Haraway's 'A Cyborg Manifesto.' Of course I have read it. And I disagree with it. [...] The manifesto coopts cyborg identity while eliminating reference to disabled people on which the notion of the cyborg is premised. Disabled people who use tech to live are cyborgs. Our lives are not metaphors." --the Cyborg Jillian Weise, "Common Cyborg"
Miserectomy: Trans, Multi, and Full of Tumors: A text-and-image rough transcription of a live talk I gave about my hysterectomy 2/10/2023 for the Pleasure Pie Reproductive Justice Salon.
All Narrators are Unreliable: Comics’ lack of objectivity, and their ability to visually mash physical and psychological realities together, make them great for depicting the mind. A rough transcription of a lecture I gave to Hilary Chute’s Graphic Medicine course at Northeastern University on April 14, 2022.
Sources, Screencaps, and Citations: “Electronic documents barely exist but they never stop barely existing.” --E. Saxey
Porn As Art: “Dirty books are fun; that’s all there is to it.” --Tom Lehrer, "Smut". LOCKED
Treat Yourself!: An essay about self-care, what it is, its commodification, and its misuse.
Doing What You Love: A Misnomer: Doing what you love, dream jobs, and how to make them happen and also see them for what they truly are. LOCKED
Social Internet and You: “Commercial pressures don’t exist with blogs as with other ventures. Television and newspapers […] must work to keep attention. If they lose readers, they lose revenue. Like sharks, they must move on. But bloggers don’t have a similar constraint. […] People read what is popular; what is popular has been selected by a very democratic process of peer-generated rankings.” –Lawrence Lessig, Free Culture, pg. 43. (Made in 2004.) LOCKED

- #1 is Tristan, who will be in prison until 2030 due to kidnapping, branding, and sexually assaulting two teenage sisters who he convinced were really their roleplaying characters.
- #2 is Draven, a violent convicted felon who's been running fictionkin soulbonding cults since the mid-90s, the most successful of which was Neo's Matrix cult, which caused at least two accidental bomb threats.
- #3 follows the harassment campaigns of Panopticon from 2015-2018, using their church/cultural reconstruction group the Gallifreyan Tradition Society. Panopticon are better known as Cassandra Oakdown, Tilanay Vondrasal, TZ Gray, apprehensiveacolyte, System of Rassilon, and a whole slew of screen-names.
