Sneak: While updating healthymultiplicity.com with a new feature... with two clicks I ended up accidentally deleting every comic we ever posted to the website. T_T I am reuploading and correcting the filing system to make future things easier, but things might be hairy for a bit. I will update this post when I have finished, but I will probably have many bugs to fix.

EDIT 23:16: I have reuploaded all the comics (except Alter Boys In Love, which needs to be redone because I think its file is too big and my zipper/PDFer doesn't work on Linux anymore) and thumbs and corrected the file tree. You will probably need to update your bookmarks, and if anything is still broken or not showing up, please let me know right away!

I also have a treat for you guys but that will have to wait until I get a good night's sleep and finish the fixes from before. -_- The important thing is, no data was lost. Hooray for back-ups!

Oh nooooo

I don't know if you've ever watched a Tom Scott video, but there's one I remember from back in 2020, about "The Worst Typo [He] Ever Made". It's about a time he accidentally overwrote hundreds of hours of volunteer transcription work because of not taking basic coding precautions. The story itself is alright, but the main part I remember it for is introducing me to the concept of the "onosecond" - which is to say, the microsecond in which you've realized you've fucked up, and go "oh no".

Anyway. Godspeed on the website recovery, and I hope it isn't too much more trouble.

Working with computers, you eventually find out real quick why undo commands were independently invented multiple times throughout programming history. But also Yeah That's A Pretty Nasty Design Loophole. Surely it could warn you at least.

oh dear.

(glad to see the back-ups existed and it was fixable, though!)

Yikes. That definitely should not be possible. Glad you were able to fix it!
