And now arguably the most characteristic drawing I've ever done of Biff.

And then a stupid comic about the antiracist work we've been doing. The original was about three inches high, thus the scribbliness. It also requires a little bit of context, since I know I have some new readers here who are probably like, "wait, why are YOU drawing Edward Cullen?"

An oooooold in-joke is using Edward Cullen as the sock puppet of my (Rogan's) self-hate (and now racism). I hadn't had to draw him in years, but...

A short scribbling ink comic. LB's vessel stares at a mysterious curtain labeled RACISM. Looking puzzled, they come over and whip the curtain back, then look appalled. "YOU!" Pull back, and behind the curtain, Great Oz-style, is Edward Cullen, pulling levers and pushing buttons at a control panel for our brain. He whips his face around, looking like a cat caught shitting on the carpet, then beams trollishly, clearly delighted.

Drawing Edward Cullen's stupid trollface makes me laugh every time. But as usual, he serves a real purpose--but that's going to get discussed in a locked post.

The comic makes me think of the Silent Hill 2 Dog Ending for some reason. (Even though it's a horror series, there's nothing violent in this. Just a computer rendering of an adorable shiba inu.)

Wait...how have people twisted her work into mean stuff? I was really into her stuff before the Netflix series made everything blow up even more, so I'm really out of the loop on that

I dunno, just apparently some people have torqued it into some kind of minimalism, even though... that's really explicitly not what she does and what she approves of? I've managed to mostly stay out of it too, so I've just heard weird rumblings that make me glad I'm out of it.

Holy crap, I made that post over a year ago, wtf.

And now I've made a tag for it, "the unbearable whiteness" since I bet I'm going to need it!

And yup, turns out that racism and self-loathing really are practically the same in my head! What a sneaky vampire!
