lb_leeDoing a big binge of scanning old art, and found this page of expressions for Raige, from Infinity Smashed. Man, remember when I couldn’t fathom speech bubbles and was terrified of them? Yeah… hard to believe.
This picture has no date (I never dated ANY sketches back then) but I THINK it was from maybe mid-2010? And his design hasn't really changed much since then. The top left face is pretty much definitely the one he makes during The Next Adventure. The flirty face... involves a part of Book One I haven't written since the old draft. Context is for the weak.

INCREDULOUS: Raige mostly looks amused, going, "You didn't expect me to actually BELIEVE that, did you? ...my god, you did. I don't know if that says something about you or ME!"
ANGRY: Raige is biting his lower lip, face and shoulders scrunched up. His thought bubble reads, "...must... not... raise... voice..." He has trouble expressing anger.
HAPPY: Raige's default shy smile. "Hi, I'm, uh, I'm Raige. Hi."
WTF: Raige watches someone (totally M.D.) off-panel, looking dismayed and a bit horrified. "...aaand there she goes again. Oh boy."
CONFUSED: Another common face for Raige, and one that doesn't make him look too bright. "...enh?"
SAD: Raige hides behind his bangs and looks away. "No, she... she died. A long time ago. No, it's okay."
FLIRTY: Raige's blushing, looking away, going, "I... uh... well--you know, it's--er, kind of... I've never had, well, a girl in my bathrobe break down my door before, you know? ...you can, uh, do that as much as you want..."
SLEEPY: Bleary, hair everywhere, Raige looks awful and just groans, "Urrrgh... Christ..." he is NOT a morning person.
EXCITED/PLEASED: He looks absolutely thrilled, big grin, and is too excited to even stammer: "You read Spider Robinson too? Oh my god, isn't he great? He's like sci-fi JESUS!"
