WE DID IT! The Kickstarter has ended; we made four times our original goal! Thanks so much, guys, for making this book a reality! We'll soon be working on getting the book and the memory work zine to the printers; that process will take at least a month or two.

There is only 1000 words left of the memory work zine, and it seems a shame to leave that straggler, so I've chosen to exercise my blogly fiat and post it this month, possibly in lieu of the usual writing poll. (Since 3000 words would've been posted this month, had I not accidentally jumped the gun on part 12.)

THE END! )

This is for the folks who just want the comics.

We stopped All in the Family when we did because we wanted to do other stuff.  The brutal pace wasn't sustainable.  So we finished part 4, did a four-page epilogue, and said we were done.  It was time to move on.

But life isn't narrative.  Our little brother drunk-dialed us a month or so after that.  That call gave a huge amount of clarity as to why our family behaved the way it did, and it felt like vital information... and there was no way to include it in All in the Family.  It fit nowhere, except maybe at the end, and we already HAD an epilogue, one that gave a feeling of completion; Murder Grampa just adds even more feeling of ignorance and freefall.

The pages got shoved into the Memory Work zine.  And here.
images and transcript behind the cut; it's AllFam so the usual content warnings for family dysfunction apply, plus references to murder, abuse, and denial therein. )
