Furry Girlfriend Fashion
Jun. 16th, 2026 09:34 amMori: summer is here! Rawlin shed her winter coat, but she still gets overheated a lot faster than the rest of us. And since she’s pretty solid about being female now, she’s being like “should I... start wearing shirts...?” Only to get trapped between “I like the idea fashionwise but UGH SO HOT AND UNCOMFORTABLE.” Her guard fur (the long, thick stuff) grows thickest around her chest, upper back, and shoulders, and squishing it down drives her crazy, plus changes her silhouette; there’s a reason her winter wear is just a cloak that hangs from her shoulders! (The compression trunks are a constant but she’s used to them after all these years. She ain’t NEVER worn shirts.)
In the past, we tried a chiton, and it was cute, but it’s summer, she has a lot of fur, she just hasn’t stuck with it. It’s too hot! And she doesn’t like how skirts feel swishing around her legs.
So we turned to Sneak, who always has the best ideas. Did ze have one?
Ze did! Ze suggested using hair chalk, sparkles, and color on her fur to make new fashion for her. Rawlin nixed the glitter (“would it ever come out?” She asked me and lol, no) but happily accepted a few chalk lines to denote “neckline,” “hem,” and “sleeves.” Fashion achieved, with no fur-squishing or extra heat! Woohoo!
She was stuck with the exact same style for 25 years. I think she’s excited to change things up!
