Fanart of My Works!

When people make fanart of my work, it makes me happy. So here's the post where I put alllll the fanart people have made me because it is awesome and I love it.  I'll update this thing as more comes in, because seriously, it perks me up every time.

This is just the fanwork of our creative work.  Folks have also drawn us system members, but that'll have to be another day.

Battle the Universe

transsupers on tumblr drew the trans (or, in Incog's case, transish) characters of BTU!

T, a slender white man with black grease paint mask, slicked back hair, and a bulky vest and boring vigilante clothes--sweat pants, dark T-shirt, and running shoes..
T

Tank, back when they were a legit superhero. They have a crewcut, a godawful blue working outfit, knee high red boots, and flame tattoos on their forearms. Lorry is responsible for all of this.
Lorry is entirely responsible for their hair and tattoos.

Incognito, wearing a suit with a black waistcoat, and a blue tie and cummerbund. Cane in hand, wearing a black mask with the white letters INCOG over the facial features.
Incog wears all sorts of crap depending on the body that day, but this is probably pretty close to what Cog's most known for.

Lady Luck, a blond trans woman with a red and black skintight outfit, a cut-out at her navel, and red high-heeled boots. She looks happy and pleased with herself.
This is Lady Luck, the superhero who replaces Tank on Law and Justice after they get fired.  I imagined her wearing more like a stage magician's outfit, ala Zatanna, but I love this rendition too.  She also looks super happy with herself, which I figure she kind of deserves.  I like to think that she grew into herself some after breaking up with Zambi.  Also I just plain love that she gets fanart, even though she gets a cameo appearance at best.  I think she'd appreciate that.  You chase that dream, Lady Luck!

Zambi, her drealocks pulled back, wearing gloves and the usual dull vigilante wear--sweat pants, sneakers, and thick gloves.
Zambi

Reverend Alpert

Lydean Kenzall did a sorta-fanfic for Alpert here!

All of these drawings were done by discountbinninja on Deviantart, AKA rolodexaspirin on Livejournal.  They are pretty much entirely responsible for the series in the first place, and even made a fanfic for it!

A digital drawing of Alpert reaching under the bed for the monster residing therein, chalk in hand. Ninja's version of Alpert is brown skinned, with short, spiky red hair.
Pretty sure everyone here already knows it, but for the longest time Alpert had no set design.  It was cool seeing how other people envisioned him.

A colorful piece of a naked Perfection consoling a sobbing Alpert after the Angel of Joy. Perfection is gold with green stripes and purple striped horns.
Perfection has a set design in my head, but I also like Ninja's idea that she looks different to everyone who sees her.  And also that she looks like a box of Crayolas cursed her for eternity.

Perfection, surrounded by flames, gripping a fireball. This time, she's purple with red hair, dressed in a gauzy lime green and pink blouse and a turquoise miniskirt.
Seriously.  When Perfection was a hypothetical baby demon, she colored outside the lines one too many times, and the gods of Crayola cursed her to be a neon monstrosity for the rest of her infernal lifespan.  She said, "Awesome," and thought it was the best thing ever.

Perfection surrounded by smoke and the start of fire, looking triumphant. She is purple again, but with green hair and yellow and pink striped horns. She wears a green yellow, and blue floral dress and a chunky red bracelet.

The Princess and Her Monster

It delights me that The Princess and Her Monster has fanart, even though I never completed it and it's trapped on hiatus.

These drawings were done by Gwen Katz, who wrote Among the Red Stars, a YA book about the Night Witches of the Soviet Union! (She also drew the dragon from Gold and Platinum, which will come later.)
A digitally colored drawing of Gad, from the Princess and Her monster, sitting cross-legged and looking annoyed at a pigeon pecking on his head.
Once Gad gets transformed, he stops needing to sleep, and he also gets very very good at just... not moving for long periods.  So yeah, I'm sure he's been perched on a few times.

A watercolor diagram of Castle Itzak, where Judith and Gad live. There are strong outer walls, inner walls, and various castle buildings on the inside, plus a courtyard.
The castle.  I think I changed the layout over time, but I still love this map of it.

These next drawings were done by Megan Rupe, who posts art and writes about tea dragons at Sinister Scribbles!
A pencil sketch of Princess Judith, with wild curly hair.
It's Judith!

Another pencil sketch of Princess Judith, who is playing battleship against one of Megan's characters, who has long blond hair. Judith has just lost a battleship and is displeased.
I sadly can't remember who the woman on the left is; she's one of Megan's characters from the Armen.

Infinity Smashed

The following drawings were done by Francesca Buchko, who does awesome greeting card stuff and also took part in the Grey Lab tarot project! Uh, these drawings are mega old, from the old drafts, so involve a fair number of charaters who no longer exist.

A little pencil doodle of Aqua, a character from the old drafts. He's a cute and cuddly little flippered shapeshifter, singing about the end of the world.
Aqua is this little shapeshifter guy.  He was the favorite on Deviantart but no longer exists in canon.  It's too bad, I still really like his design.  He'll probably get a cameo at some point.

A drawing of Biff with his ponytail and cigarette, cuddling Aqua and going WHOOZACUTEWIDDLESHAPESHIFTER while M.D. watches in confusion. Aqua seems to be enjoying it though.
More Aqua.  Trust me, I don't think Biff ever met him in the story, but if they had, it would not have gone like this.

A sketchy drawing of M.D. holding Raige in her arms, looking annoyed as he babbles in terror that THERE ARE BEARS HERE. Bobcat, along with a hamster and toad are nattering at her, along with Aqua, and M.D. finally drops Raige and shouts STOP!
Yes, the stupid bears joke was there from the very beginning. I have no shame.  And Bobcat used to have other animal buddies on his team.  They no longer exist in the story either.

Concept sketches of Biff, with frustrated artist notes about how he looks too old and like Voldemort's cousin uuuugh.
I remember Francesca had some frustration trying to draw Biff.  I can't blame her.  He's basically all curves, and conventional wisdom for male characters is that they should be all hard angles.

A digitally colored drawing of M.D., Raige, and Aqua dancing. M.D. is shooting geysers of light around them, and it is a personification of joy.
This one is still the wallpaper on my 1998 laptop.

Aqua flies through the sky and interacts with Myopia, a cute little flying gold robot character of Francesca's. They are pals now.
This very well might've been the first fanart of anything I ever got! Myo (the gold robot) was Francesca's character.

A big watercolor illustration, framed on my wall, showing Raige freaking out in the Canandria Forest while M.D. leans against a tree, looking completely unconcerned. Aqua flies above Raige's head, desperate to make a good impression, but he is not succeeding.
These big watercolor illustrations are still hanging on my wall to this day; those of you who've been to my place have likely seen them. See, there were three hard copies in existence of the original first book of Infinity Smashed--the old drafts, I mean. Francesca liked it so much that she made these illustrations for her finals in art school, and then traded them to me in exchange for one of the three hard copies. I still have the other two--one has a typo on the cover, plus got attacked by a friend's toddler cousin, so is going to be hidden from everyone forever.

Another big-ass framed watercolor illustration, this time of almost the entire Infinity Smashed cast, more than half of which no longer exists, plummeting through a psychedelic vortex of colors and random objects. M.D. seems bored and is cutting up an apple; Raige is freaking out. Aqua thinks this is all the most fun ever, while Bobcat seems to be intellectually fascinated.
The other illustration.  That there is the original main cast of Infinity Smashed, basically, asides from Biff who got introduced later.  You might notice that like half of them are people you've never seen, because they don't exist anymore.  They'll probably all get cameos at some point or other, just for my own enjoyment.

A digital colored illustration of Vandorsky, M.D., and a toddler white boy with brown hair named Todd who no longer exists in canon. Vandorsky is in her first incarnation, a gangly male punk, but her fashion sense remains identical. M.D. has short hair, and Todd tugs at her jeans asking her for something.
M.D. originally had a little brother named Todd in the story. Obviously that's gone. But Vandorsky was there from early on--her gender and shape have changed, but precious little else.  I do like the short-haired M.D. version--Barracuda used to be her story nickname because she had way too many nicknames.

Another digitally colored drawing of M.D. making a fuck you gesture while light blooms from her fingers.
M.D. also used to be a lot better at doing lightshows in the old draft.  It led to some cool art stuff, and I kinda miss it honestly.

A teeny tiny little doodle of M.D. wearing Raige's baggy green flannel shirt and turning angrily.
Aqua looks on at Raige's flannel shirt, which is shedding magical fluffy sparkles. He wants to touch it, but artist notes exhort him not to, he will pay for it. There is also Pinhead the Chicken, who is one of Francesca's characters.
Yeah, Raige's green flannel shirt has been an in-joke for over a decade. Now y'all are in on it too! You might notice Francesca has drawn M.D. wearing it many times. See, M.D. is a clothes-stealer. That shirt is hers now. Raige will never actually ask her to give it back. (M.D. has also stolen some of Biff's clothes. Thomas is the only person she hasn't stolen from, and that's because he has a little brother and thus knows how to keep a close eye on his stuff. She wears their stuff because that's how she expresses her affection for people.)

Oh, and that chicken is her character, not mine.

Two pencil sketches. One has M.D. and Biff tied up and stuck together, which Biff seems to be taking with grumpy good grace, while M.D. looks defiant and looks to be snarling at someone off-panel. The other drawing shows M.D. with her backpack turning and walking away from Raige, who sadly looks after her. Her expression is that of a defiant loner.
Biff and M.D. originally met in the old drafts (and in the new one, just... that part hasn't gotten posted yet) because they got thrown in a detention center together.  So yeah, they probably ended up tied up together at some point.

A little watercolor drawing of M.D. and Raige curled up under flowering plants in Treehouse. M.D. is wearing Raige's flannel, and he's looking at her blushing and adoringly. For her part, M.D. is flopped, looking away, and trying not to look like she's crushing on him. Artist's notes read: It's canon! She secretly wants him!
It is indeed now canon. Francesca would be so pleased, even if it took something like ten years for it to get there.

A teeny tiny little doodle of M.D., in her black bike gloves and Raige's flannel, sitting with her face in her hands, clearly trying to ignore Raige while he talks at her. Her knife is on the ground.

A teeny tiny doodle of M.D. falling asleep contentedly on Raige's shoulder. He's blushing and has an arm around her shoulders. She is wearing his flannel.
A page of pencil doodles of various characters, including Aqua zooming away, and M.D. in her Jaunter's League jumpsuit.
That jumpsuit-y thing is what M.D. wears during her time with the Jaunter's League. (Plus some arm-socks, not pictured here.)

A teeny tiny doodle of chibi Thomas with an enormous white grin and a pervy look about him, one hand on his hip. His design and personality have changed practically not at all since 2003.
This is the definitive drawing of Thomas. It captures his character completely. I doubt it will ever be topped.

Thomas again, more realistically drawn this time. His expression is still pervy, but less that of a used car salesman.

A pencil sketch of Biff when he was nineteen, back when he was desperately trying to be white and going around in illusion all the time. His hair is straight, he has a toothpick in his mouth, and he's smirking.
Though I have to say, this one of Biff when he was nineteen and in full vanish-mode is pretty spot-on too.

Sketches of Raige, M.D., Thomas, and Biff all as children. Thomas is dressed in a football jersey and is shying away from M.D. because she has cooties. M.D. has pigtails and ribbons in her hair and is playing the I'm Not Touching You Game because she is a troll. Raige is blushing behind M.D. and has a flower for her in his hand, though she hasn't seen it yet. There is also a tiny blobby Aqua, even more adorable than usual. Biff is older, more in his teens, and it's immediately after his escape from Vaygo; he has a leather armband concealing the injuries on his wrist, his jeans have holes in them, and he's smoking. His expression is sullen. There's also a random bust of Specialist Grey, looking very serious and macho.
This is still basically the drawing I use as reference for Biff when he was sixteen and fresh off the bus in Vaygo after the events of Ten Years to Vanish. This is also the sole fanart I have ever gotten for Specialist Grey. It's okay, Grey. I still like you. (Comboy Bob remains the sole cast member in Infinity Smashed of any importance not to have fanart. Sorry Bob! I still like you too.  Oh, and Number One, nobody's drawn Number One, but she's barely appeared in everything, why WOULD anyone draw her?)

A sort of logo for Raige, Thomas, and M.D., back when they'd MST fanfiction together. Together, they're the three wise monkeys. Thomas is in a zoot suit and pulling the hat brim over his eyes--see no evil. M.D. is covering Aqua's innocent ear (or at least where his ears would be, if he had them), as Hear No Evil. Raige looks deeply appalled and covering his mouth--speaking no evil.
Yeah, back when I MSTed bad fanfiction for fun, and Raige, Thomas, and M.D. were my MSTing team, THAT even got fanart.  All of that stuff is long since erased from the Internet, and trust me, it's for the best.  The MSTs did coin a few random bits of Infinity Smashed canon though--their habit of watching bad movies together, plus Raige's forever-crush on Hermione Granger.

Miscellaneous

A picture of Helga Macklewitz in her fairy kitty form. She has lavendar dragonfly wings, and is a white cat with brown ears and tail.
This drawing of Helga from Only One Helga Macklewitz was done by Shiruie-Chan on DeviantArt, but they seem to have disappeared and deleted this drawing from the Internet.  Which is a shame, since I quite like it!

The hipster dragon from Gold and Platinum. She's long and serpentine, all yellow and green, with a plaid skirt and chunky tortoiseshell glasses. She is deeply unimpressed by everyone and everything and is examining her claws.
Aforementioned Gwen Katz drawing of the dragon from Gold and Platinum.
