Book list for Rhincodons
Nov. 25th, 2025 01:55 pmEveryone ignore this; this is a book list for Rhincodons whose email keeps bouncing me.
Okay, I dug around, and I grabbed a broad range of stuff, so you and the book club can see what’s most interesting to y’all!
PROSE/POETRY (may have pictures or be handwritten but text is the focus)
“Intersections” by Rhymers House. A poem about the intersections of being blind and plural. https://paragraphiti.dreamwidth.org/51832.html
When I was younger I used to think I was Angel... (you know... from Buffy?) by Kael Knoxton Martin. A short personal zine about fictionkin identity and having a dissociative disorder. https://file.garden/ZRcocrUQNGkxIJor/angelfrombuffy.pdf If you need to print just the text, I made a text-only transcript and can link it.
"My Double Mystic Marriages to Two Goddesses of Love: an Interview” by Rene Georges and Marilyn Houlberg. https://healthymultiplicity.com/loonybrain/Info/Rene%20-%20My%20Double%20Mystic%20Marriages%20to%20Two%20Goddesses%20of%20Love.pdf interview with a Vodouist who describes marrying two goddess spirits, who regularly possess the folks around him. The culture is very different, so it might be challenging to read.
Also, my plural history essays are 32 pages if you cut all the bibliography and title/copyright page and such. Part one is here and leads to each subsequent chapter, four in total: https://lb-lee.dreamwidth.org/1111069.html (I can also give you a PDF to print if you’d rather.)
COMICS
Something Terrible, by Mayday (FKA Dean) Trippe. An autobiographical account of being rescued from childhood trauma with Batman. there is still an archived version of the abridged ebook (before the final epilogue) up for free and the paperback version has been bootlegged to archive.org! https://archive.org/details/somethingterribl0000trip/mode/1up
Chalkboard Comic, by Meg-John Barker/Team MJ Barker. A young child is trapped in a room, forever crunching equations. Headmates swoop in to help out. https://www.rewriting-the-rules.com/self/happy-holidays-comic-plural-selves/
Tower of the Wizard King, by Rax E. Dillon. A photo comic “about plurality, differential consciousness, and a board game from 1993 that has been literally living in my head for almost thirty years." https://raxraxraxraxrax.itch.io/tower-of-the-wizard-king-a-zine
Hope some of these are up y’all’s alley!
