So, Johnston's Restless Dead: Encounters between the Living and the Dead in Ancient Greece opens with the following story:

Tyrant Periander: guys, my thing is missing. Go ask the ghost of my dead wife where it is.

Ghost of Melissa: tell my husband that I'm mad at him and won't tell him where his thing is because fuck him for leaving me cold and naked in the underworld. GIVE ME GHOST CLOTHES, PERIANDER!

Periander: how do I know you're really the ghost of my wife?

Melissa: you fucked me after I was dead.

Periander: okay, that's her.

And then Periander tricked all the ladies in Corinth into coming well-dressed to the temple of Hera, goddess of marriage, whereupon he ripped off all their dresses, burned them so Melissa could wear them in the underworld, and everyone agreed he was a dick forever.
