Everyday Moments

 Rogan: our new room has three big windows, and the two in the area I use open onto beautiful trees (with whiny blue jays). Today it's been raining, and I got to just open my windows, sit in my rocking chair with a book, and listen to the patter of raindrops on the leaves. And then Biff cooked me a delicious stir fry with pork, cabbage, and leftover takeout rice with rice vinegar and liquid aminos. He still needs a wheelchair most of the time, but he's healing.

Sometimes I have sad days, or hard days. But I'm glad that even on those days, I get to savor these moments. Happiness lives in those quiet everyday moments.

PS: We don't miss much about our mom's house, but we do miss the apple tree right outside our window.

Rogan: both my lovers cook me delicious food according to my meal plan and it's one of the everyday things I am most grateful for.

That's really good about the room. And I'm glad Biff is recovering. I always had a positive impression of him. (I know that his life has been rough, but his kindness always stood out for me.)

Blue jays are fun birds. There are flocks around the local forests and they'll congregate at known peanut locations.

Huh, flocks? I feel like I only see them alone or woth a few family members. (Ours are clearly parent and children.)
