Hi,

I remember you did something about Phineas Gage, and I wasn't able to get the thing it was in when it came out, and then I forgot the title. Would you be able to point me to this? It sounded really interesting, and if it's something I can buy, I'd like to.

Oh man, blast from the past! That was in a science comics anthology called Boundless, I don't know if it's in print anymore, and as far as I know, there was never an ebook release. I also don't own the rights to "Bring Me The Head of Phineas Gage," since it was a collaboration with E. J. Barnes (she wrote, I drew); that's why it's not listed on any of my shop pages.

If you want, I can ask the colleagues who printed it, see if they have any copies left that I can purchase and resell you? Doubtful that'll work, though, it was a popular anthology and came out in 2016. Other than that, the only remaining copy I know of is the misprint I have on my shelf, where the final signature of pages got put in upside down (not the portion Phineas Gage is in). It's a good anthology; you're welcome to this copy if you want it! Normally it's $16, but seeing as it's a misprint, I'd be willing to sell it to you for less.

I don't want to take your last copy if it's important to you in any way, but if you genuinely don't mind, I'd be fine with paying the standard price. (Paypal is weird about my current phone situation, so I'd have to figure out the best payment method, but there are a few options that work for me.) I'm currently in a much better financial situation than I was when it came out (and now I remember why I didn't buy it at the time), and don't mind giving money to creators who could use it.

Mori: Asked! Will see if any non-misprints are lying around. You are totally welcome to our misprint, though; maybe it'll be worth something someday. :p

You live outside the US, don't you? If so, I'm sorry to say the shipping will be more than the book itself, like $20. Another option is, I just talked to E. J. today, I could ask her if she'd be down with me ebooking Phineas Gage, selling you a copy, and splitting the proceeds with her 50/50. I don't expect her to have a problem with it, if that would be easier for you.

I actually have a forwarding address in the US through work where they send it on to me where I am. It's slow, though, and if I can get an ebook version, that would be easier for me. (It looks like there was a PDF version on the Kickstarter?)

Mori: The PDF version may have been Kickstarter-only, unfortunately. It was one of our comics group's anthologies, which are overwhelmingly paper-only. I'd be ebooking Bring Me The Head of Phineas Gage from the original PNGs of the pages on my hard drive.

Regardless, I texted E.J.! We'll see what she says. If she says yes, I'll ebook and sell Phineas Gage to you; if she says no, paper misprint and slow shipping it is!
