Bob sits reading a pocket paperback (facetiously labeled Houseplants of Gor). Gigi peeks up over the edge of the sofa arm, watching him. Bob looks up. "Help you?" Gigi panics and disappears in a poof of smoke. Bob startles, then goes back to his book, adjusting his glasses. "Runs in the family, I see," he says. "Nice to meet you too, kiddo."

Originally did the pencils for this last March, entertained me enough to ink it today. Bob's reaction is what it is because Rogan acted much the same way when they met. He's somewhat used to feral cat people who don't know how to interact with humans, seeing as he married one.

One day I will figure out a consistent way I draw Biff's tattoos. But not today.

2022 was not the best year, but at least it wasn't 2021! Don't worry, he's doing better now.

Mori: Haha, thanks! There's only so much you can draw the robe before it gets boring, especially since she usually wears tons of bright colors that don't translate well to a black and white zine. Plus it just made it funnier.

It gave her a lot of personality!!! Tbh all of the discussion of the Bony Lady made us think a lot about our own system, and who in here might not actually be like, FROM here/us--tbh, before you and Megan Rose described so much relatable shit, the idea had never really occurred to us. Which in retrospect makes sense--our near-death experience was at age 5, so anyone who came back with us or we got the attention of has just like... "always" been here from our perspective. Hard to sort out. Y'all gave us a lot of great ideas about how to proceed though!

Mori: Yeah, age 5 is super early! That would totally feel "business as normal" to us too!

Rogan really, really wanted all of us to be internally generated, but that box just got worse and worse fitting over time. Madgic #4 may be about internal mythos stuff, trying to pin down internal vs. external (if that dichotomy is even useful in the first place)!
