Plural Dump and Meetup
Some plural links and info:
* WHAT? Snacks! Drinks! Art supplies! Hanging out, talking plurality, comparing notes, learning and having fun! Also maybe buttons.
* WHO? Anyone plural, pluralish, partially or formerly plural or questioning. If you're not sure you count, the answer is "yes, you do." All plural is good plural!
* COVID STUFF: If you are planning to come (or are inviting someone else), please let us know so we can be ready! Last time we had roughly a dozen vessels, so plan your COVID precautions accordingly! Some folks will likely be masking, others not. Everyone should be vaccinated; if you are not, please let us know immediately so we can discuss what to do. Some meetup folks are immunocompromised; don't screw them over!
CODE OF CONDUCT
1. This is a social group, not a support group. None of us are therapists, and we all have our shit to deal with. Ask before discussing trauma, and be mindful of folks' limits.
2. People you see in the meetup may not be uncloseted elsewhere. Don't out them if you run into them outside the meetup!
3. All kinds of plural are welcome, and singlet plus-ones are okay.
- Massively belated announcement, but ATW, the author of got parts? an insider's guide to managing life effectively with DID has passed on, and gotparts.org now seems to be permanently down. From the Wayback Machine: "A.T.W. died of complications related to cancer in 2016 at the age of 55. She is dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Got Parts is her durable legacy and we hope you have enjoyed sharing her journey in this book."
- Dragonheart Collective put out a 27-page paper on Safety in Alterhuman Spaces, covering warning signs and poisonous behavior patterns in otherkin, fictionkin, plural, and other related subcultures. Totally worth a read! (Also check out their projects page; they've been up to a lot of neat stuff recently!) (Thanks, Hungry Ghosts, for telling us about this!)
- We (LB) and Lore Jason are hosting another offline outdoor plural meet-up, Saturday, March 19th, from 12-3 PM!

Also this: "The problem with P-shifters is less that they claim things outside of consensus reality and more that their claims are used as a tool to do harm" ...YES, this is so true for so many "weird" things. And people, in our experience, will often try to manipulate you with "Well, ALL of this is seen as crazy and fake by most people anyway. So you can't judge anything I do, because you're seen the same way by outsiders."
