I got a message about this, so: yes, we are open for writing commissions (fiction and essays both) and prompts! We actually used to do all our writing-for-money this way.

What Will LB Write?

Topics we especially enjoy writing:

* Plural fiction/nonfiction
* Mental health stuff
* Happy queer monster romance or porn
* Anything involving robots, cyborgs, or other constructs.

Topics we WILL NOT ACCEPT:

* Sexy Nazis or Nazi-equivalents.
* Sexy rape or child abuse. (Force play and ageplay are okay!)
* Stuff about real, living, identifiable people without their consent. (If they're dead, anonymous, or consenting, we MIGHT be willing. Ask.)
* Fanfiction (sorry guys; we're bad at it)

If what you want doesn't come under either subject, just ask! The worst that can happen is, "sorry, no." Drop us a line via PM or at loonybrain at healthymultiplicity.com!

But I am Broke :(

That's okay! If you want to leave a writing prompt, you don't have to pay, or even go un-anon! Just leave a comment here, and say, "I want a story about a cyborg wombat in Balloon Land!" (or whatever). If you’re worried what to include, imagine you’re shouting the description from a car as it speeds away, leaving us behind. What are the most important things you’d include? If it can't be summed up in a sentence or two, think it over before asking.

Free writing prompts come with some drawbacks: you don't get any control over where the story gets posted, how long it is, or how fast we write it. We'll let you know pretty quick if it just can't be done, but otherwise, you might be waiting a while. Anything that does get written ends up on the voting block for the monthly Patreon polls, and if it wins, it gets posted on our blog for all to read and enjoy.

You might be waiting a while. If you want more control over when and where it's posted, you might want to commission us outright.

Writing Commissions

If you want to commission us to write, contact us to make sure we're available! You can reach us at loonybrain at healthymultiplicity.com; don't use PM, since there's no way to know if a message didn't go through.

We may not be available immediately, but we'll be able to take down your info and get back to you.

You can buy something already up for sale, or ask for something bespoke: "I want a 1000 word story about a cyborg wombat!" (We reserve the right to turn you down.)

If you’re worried what to include in your request, imagine you’re shouting the description from a car as it speeds away, leaving us behind. What are the most important things you’d include? If it can't be summed up in a sentence or two, think it over before asking. If you want a story based around characters with certain looks, and have art/photos handy, sending one or two pics is good too!

Our rate is ten cents a word, starting at 1000 words (or $100), because shorter than that and things get skeletal. Here's an example of a 1000 word mini-story for $100, and here's an example of our usual 3000-4000 word stuff, which is $300-$400. 1000 words is generally enough for a super-short story involving two or three characters and a couple of scenes; 3000 words gives more wiggle room and is about how long an essay will take at minimum.

If you want something longer than 3000 words, you should make sure to talk to us about it beforehand, because that could take a while with our other obligations!

By default, commissioning a story will get it written within a month (unless we tell you otherwise), and posted on our blog for all to see.

If you want the writing commission for your private entertainment, that's totally fine too! We can privately email it to you.

If you want a different sort of rights arrangement (for instance, if you're commissioning us to write for your specific event), or for a print or illustrated copy, you'll need to talk to us specifically, and prices might change depending on what rights to the writing you want.
