To this day it's having consequences because now we're having troubles realizing that outworld (otherworld, if you would) experiences are as real as those here...and it's causing rifts between friendships. Especially ones with a heavier otherworld life than we tend to have-and we're still having a lot of trouble wrapping our mind around the concept of having our own life in worlds that aren't here, made more complicated by the experience of having, for lack of a better term, factives here.
Granted, that's not all of it, but it's definitely a contributing factor-whether it's a major one or not, I haven't figured out yet.
