ohhh this speaks to me, as someone trying to figure out the balance of craft, narrator-driven experimental projects I am deeply invested in, & making texts that help me make a living (though it’s not my primary income). it’s just this problem to keep working through & keep finding new solutions to, I think. lately I’ve been trying to decide which stories get protected & which do not - anything that involves an actual reflection of inner reality must, which I think is why I write so much fiction that reflects at strange angle our inner reality & inner relationships.
