This was a really interesting read! We've been keeping a combination journal/sketchbook and channel in a personal Discord server for shared/recurring dreams (though I'm really the only one who puts in entries consistently - I'm also the only one who actually dreams on a consistent basis). I might put all of ours together in a more coherent entry and link it here at a later date.
Z's been known to gatecrash but he's god-awful at interrupting the right ones (we don't let him forget about tripping into an erotic dream a caretaker was having about one of an old friend's headmates, about a year ago), and we generally pin that on the fact that he doesn't dream at all. He wouldn't know what makes the right one The right one. It also seems like those of us in here that do dream are being more-or-less haunted by a headmate who hasn't shown up in three years or so, who strictly showed up in certain types of dreams, but more importantly during sleep paralysis. All told the "fun" thing about that is how easy it's gotten to tell sleep paralysis hallucinations and the strange inconsistent wibbly-ness of dream-characters, even the ones based on waking singlets/sys friends and their headmates, from Our Guy.
It's nice to see put to words the ins and outs of HOW this works instead of just "yeah I see headmates in dreams".
