Oh, don't worry, Panopticon don't believe it either, unless they are even dumber than this and automatically assume the enemy of their enemy is their friend. (And I don't even WANT to be their enemy. This isn't high school. I just wanted to not be their friend anymore.)

They just want OTHER people to believe it. Seriously, the main reason we left in the first place was they threw tons of accusations with no sources or details, and when I finally put in the elbow grease to fact check them, we realized they were totally reversing perps and vics. We were horrified and left, and now they're doing the same thing with us.
