Seeking Many-Selved Family Portraits

ohohoo! we actually have several—the current one is incomplete but we made some for a zine we’re probably never publishing of us through the years! we can send them over in the morning if the old ones interest you, idk when the current one will be done -crow&

The most recent denizens portrait I drew got fucked up by the pages of the sketchbook rubbing together, and I have not yet had the wherewithal to redraw it. But I went hunting and found this pieces from 2006, which I somehow don't hate, and has everyone who still pops by (Alis, Gabe, and Hyde are the big three, but Zaphod does still show up every once in a while to serve drinks and try and steer me back to the path of hedonism)

I can try and figure out where I put the original and get you a cleaner scan. I should also flip through my sketchbooks and find out what else I've got --thank you for the idea/encouragement!

Yes, we want all of them; we hope to maybe do a slideshow showing how folks portraits grow and change over time, so series are great!

alright, here we are! all of these were drawn in october of 2023 by me (Crow& of a Body et al.)—not sure of a more exact date. headmates listed from left to right and top to bottom, if the names matter

2019-2020, feat. Pothos, Sol, the writer (TW), and the kid—Pothos, the writer, and Sol are a median collective at this point

2021, feat. Irónice, Sol/Crow, and the writer (TW)

2022, feat. AJ, (pre-transition Sylvia Eve who is censored out), Crow, the writer (TW), James Alice, the kiddo, Turtle, and Sunny

2023, feat. Bo/“Bimbeau”, Riley, crow&, TW, Sylvia Eve, AJ, and the kiddo

note: i’m not actually sure when i fully diverged from being “a Sol” so i’m guessing 2022, and i’m also not sure when the ampersand got added to my name, so i’m just assuming it was 2023

is there any deadline on this? this gives us an excuse to draw the "main alters" in the system, something we've been meaning to do for a WHILE. But, of course, decent art takes a second to complete. especially when it's of multiple people.

Does it count if it's just some of us? We made a group photo type drawing for people from Maharra, and are loosely planning on making some for the other cities/continents in our inner world.

of course! will let you know if we finish the updated one :) we do have a lot of individual portraits or smaller group drawings we can send though (or smack into a collage), we just rarely draw more than two of us interacting at once.

also if this is private you can include the final page of [kiddo]’s story (which we can link on desktop, html on my phone is hell)! if it’s public though we’re keeping that image relatively under wraps

Cool project!! :3 We have two "family portraits" that I think fit the bill: drawings our best friends of 15 years (Supernova, for credit; shared with their permission) made of both their and our (known at the time) guys hanging out all together!! The first one isn't dated but based on who's there vs not it was probably made sometime in late 2018, the second one was June 30th 2019. Here's a PDF containing both drawings, let us know if you need another format or anything else!!

Sneak: It would not be a private thing; we were imagining possibly doing a little exhibition show offline for folks and/or putting together the slides digitally for folks to view online. So I will leave [kiddo]'s story alone for now!

Mac: right now, we’re considering posting them online as a slideshow for me and Rogan’s wedding anniversary. Wouldn’t mind doing an offline show but we have nowhere to do it.

We need to go through and get permissions for folks.

thank you!!! i am immensely proud of it :) my only regret is forgetting TW’s sunglasses—vae’s basically never seen without them, even in headspace (which is huge “wearing sunglasses indoors” energy tbh). just imagine some sick red/mirrored lennon shades i guess! -crow&

If you are still taking submissions, we have a piece from early last year(one member omitted due to lack of space, and one due to lack of desire on its behalf to be acknowledged as an autonomous entity in any way at the time) and one we finished just today.
