Had an excellent first day of sales and will be there again Sunday! Come check us out!
We also blew shameless money there, because there was so much irresistably cool stuff. The haul:
Witches, Midwives and Nurses: a History of Women Healers, by Barbara Ehrenreich and Deidre English
Spiritual Destinations of an Anarchist, by Peter Lamborn Wilson (Wilson was a NAMBLA supporter, but he is dead, our money isn't supporting him or NAMBLA, and he's one of the few people we've found discussing spiritual anarchism sooooo...)
Otherwise, or reconnecting to life, facing the ecological crisis, and shaping the future, by Emma Lucille Percy. A cut and paste zine that we glanced at and sucked us in, about rooting oneself to place and land and community. This is something we've been working for to break isolation and dissociative numbness with success, so we're really interested!
Why I Left the PSL... or the DSA or Socialist Alternative or Whatever, by A Filler Kid. Palate-cleanser about leftist burnout. Kinda made me feel better about being too disabled to go that route.
Baedan: Queers Gone Wild, by Anonymous. Baedan is a queer nihilism journal, one of those things I keep hearing about as having ideas I'm interested in, but then every time I try to read it, I see phrases like "privatization of the anus" and can't keep a straight face. Maybe a free bootleg zine excerpt will finally be enough to get me through it.
Humans and Other Animals: Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Human-Animal Interactions, by Samantha Hurn. Pretty sure![[profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
whois_page recommended this and their recs have been good. :p this book cost as much as all the others put together, alas.
Our friend also brought us a copy of Trance and Possession in Bali, bringing me one step closer to finally reading the damned thing.
