This is an excellent quote, and the contract idea is a good one. Its not in vogue in the community right now to recommend formal agreements like that, but we feel like it ought to make a comeback. Formal agreements can feel like they will really stick in a way that just saying 'yeah sure' to informal ones really doesnt. It helps everyone know exactly whats expected of them and others.
