I wouldn't be surprised if that tracks, though I think Schwartz-theory would have a hard time squaring it; what you're describing is like a pitch-perfect protector role. (This is another example where I don't really truck with a lot of their terminology; "protector" and "exile" are big words with a lot of implications and I think we see a lot of Schwartz's bias in the naming, just like with Self. But the fact that there seem to be folks in here whose primary function was to Do A Thing and others whose primary function was to Hold A Feeling Or Memory has held true for me. I just don't like the Protector/Exile binary. lol I just don't like binaries.)
There's also a lot of talk about how one of the defining aspects of Self is that it doesn't have an agenda (which honestly is another reason I have a hard time thinking of it as a distinct entity). Honestly it just feels like Schwartz's model isn't entirely prepared for brains with their own defined systems.
