I mean, a lot of these design choices are done intuitively, without a lot of logical analysis. That only comes later. (I certainly wasn't thinking through all the design ramifications when I made Dissociation. I just used the library typewriter because I wasn't confident in my own lettering yet, and the typewriter became a workaround that ended up serving me well.)
I feel like the only way to get that level of difference across in prose would be to have handwritten manuscripts in different handwritings, or different mediums entirely. And that would be a marketing and printing nightmare.
