Trust and forgiveness are definitely squishy concepts I've also had to poke with a stick and figure out. (Especially since that and "safe" are concepts I always want to ask, "from what?")

And separating truth from reality was a huge help for me just because... there are things that are REAL that nonetheless aren't true. A lie repeated enough times can become real (in that, it'll become something I have to deal with), but it will never become TRUE.
